Quick answers
What can I import?
Find a completed public game by Chess.com or Lichess username, then choose which one to import. You can also paste or share PGN, open a .pgn file, or share an exact public Lichess game link. No provider password is needed.
Does review require an internet connection?
No. Public-game lookups need a connection, but analysis, review, and practice from an imported game run on your iPhone. Your Chess uses saved, eligible game evidence on the device.
Why might Quiet Move accuracy differ from another service?
Quiet Move calculates its own accuracy and move classifications from its analysis settings and methodology. Percentages and labels may differ from Chess.com or another analysis service without either result being a copy of the other.
Do I need a Quiet Move account?
No Quiet Move account is needed to import and review games. Your imported games, reviews, practice, and settings are stored locally on your device.
Can I use Quiet Move during a live game?
No. Quiet Move does not suggest moves during a live game. Its review and analysis of imported games are for after those games finish.
Can I challenge another person?
Person-to-person online challenges are not available yet. We will explain the supported invitation and device options when that experience is ready.
How does Your Chess know which games are mine?
Choose the games you played in Your Chess. Looking up another player does not make their games yours. Where Quiet Move shows an observation, you can inspect the reviewed games and decisions behind it; limited evidence is labeled as such.
How do I back up or move my games?
Export your original games as PGN from the Library and keep the files somewhere you control. Quiet Move does not provide account-based cloud sync. PGN exports preserve games; they are not a complete backup of review results, practice history, or settings. Local app data is also subject to your normal iOS backup and restoration settings.
What should I include in a support email?
Include your iPhone model, iOS version, Quiet Move version, and the steps that led to the problem. If an import is involved, you may include a short sample PGN only if you are comfortable sharing it.
